During these times of the slumping economy, the pinch of the wallet is being felt everywhere and by everyone. The cut backs do not end where education begins.
The school systems have felt a major blow in funding. I was recently told by my principal that we will most likely have no instructional money for materials.
What does that mean? There will be no money for materials such as workbooks, classroom games, manipulatives, etc. We are forced to take a step back from our ritualistic teaching habits and think about how we can do things differently, without the need for new things.
One great way to do that is using the technology already available in your school and/or classroom. There are many great resources to help you find ways to use technology in your classroom.
How do you use technology in your classroom? Are their any great websites that you use on a regular basis that you would like to share?
